THISDL Wellness Center was newly established in 2024 and currently consists of two specialized functional rooms.
One is the Therapy Room, covering approximately 80 square meters. It primarily serves to support recovery after sports injuries. The room is equipped with a variety of advanced physical therapy devices, including: Shockwave Therapy Machine、Ultrasound Therapy Machine、Deep Muscle Stimulator (DMS)、Cold Compression Therapy Device、Wax Therapy Machine、Electric Treatment Table、Low-Frequency Therapy Machine、Two Suspension Exercise Therapy (SET) Systems.
The other is the Sports Diagnostics Room, covering around 40 square meters. This space focuses on assessing students' physical condition in advance, evaluating the risk of sports injuries, and implementing preventative training interventions. It is equipped with an Infrared Thermographic Imaging System to monitor students’ physical status, enabling accurate assessment and effective injury prevention.
The Wellness Center is staffed by a dedicated professional team of three specialists: a licensed therapist, a nutritionist, and a physical conditioning and recovery coach.
Each of our two campuses is equipped with a certified School Clinic:
Daoxiang Lake School Clinic, Haidian District, Beijing
TsingHsiang International School Clinic, Haidian District, Beijing
The school Clinic are established with official approval from the Beijing Municipal Health Commission and staffed with two licensed physicians and one registered nurse. Centered around safeguarding the health of students and staff, the stations carry out campus disease prevention and control, student health check-ups, and health education programs.
Each School Clinic includes a treatment area and an isolation observation area, and is equipped with emergency facilities such as first aid kits, oxygen tanks, wheelchairs, and AED devices. The stations provide basic diagnosis and treatment for common illnesses and initial emergency response and referral for acute illness or injury occurring on campus.
At the beginning of each academic year, the school organizes first aid training for staff to ensure timely and effective emergency response within the campus.
Enhancing Emergency Preparedness: AED Deployment and First Aid Education at THISDL
As the number of students and staff at THISDL continues to grow, the strategic deployment of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and the promotion of first aid awareness across campus play a vital role in ensuring a safe and caring learning environment. The presence of AEDs—a life-saving device for sudden cardiac arrest emergencies—is not only a critical measure in densely populated public spaces, but also a reflection of a community's commitment to public health and safety.
At THISDL, our campus emergency response system consists of both hardware and training components. The installation of AEDs represents the hardware infrastructure, while first aid knowledge and emergency skills training for all students and staff form the essential software support.
We raise awareness and promote the use of AEDs through hands-on first aid training sessions, informational campaigns, and school-wide communications, including our official WeChat platform. These efforts aim to ensure that all members of our community are familiar with the use of AEDs so that they can take decisive, life-saving action in critical moments.
Effective emergency response requires the participation of the entire school community. In the event of an accident or medical emergency, having the ability to perform first aid and use emergency equipment can significantly reduce injury and save lives.
THISDL is committed to expanding our emergency preparedness efforts by providing CPR and AED usage training to a wider group of students and faculty, thereby enhancing the overall emergency response capabilities of our school.
