After School Activity ASA Course Introduction

The design and implementation of the THISDL ASA program are based on the school’s mission, vision, and core values. Guided by the principles of interdisciplinary integration, interest-driven learning, and professional development, the school offers a rich variety of after-school activities. These activities provide students with platforms and opportunities to explore, participate in, and experience diverse cultures, fostering independent thinking and a spirit of teamwork.

To meet the diverse needs of students, make full use of after-school service time, and actively improve the quality of ASA programs, the school carries out activities centered on one of its core values—Diligent Exploration—offering students learning opportunities in the following four areas:

  1. STEAM activities integrating science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics;

  2. Creative performance and arts activities;

  3. Academic skill enhancement and holistic capacity development;

  4. Sports and school athletic teams.

Four Categories
  • Creative Performance and Art Activities

    Our creative performance and art ASA courses emphasize the development of students' creativity, providing them with abundant opportunities to express their ideas and reactions to the world around them, fully unleashing their creative potential.

    Academic Ability Enhancement and Personal Quality Development

    Based on students' academic levels, academic interests, and language and course requirements, academic improvement and competition tutoring courses are offered. Additionally, the design of personal quality development courses reflects the school's emphasis on character and ability development rather than simply acquiring knowledge.

  • STEAM Activities that Integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics

    STEAM courses are characterized by comprehensive technical education and interdisciplinary integration. The curriculum content often focuses on real-world problem-solving, through inquiry-based learning and design-based learning, to develop students' design and problem-solving abilities.

    Sports Activities and School Teams

    Encourage students to participate in outdoor sports activities and ensure that students engage in at least one hour of physical exercise daily. This initiative aims to stimulate students' interest in sports and cultivate their awareness and habits of physical exercise. The school's sports programs are organized in tiers, such as beginner interest classes, improvement classes, and school teams.
