Mr. Dianjun Wang, the chairman of the International Characteristic Schools Branch of the China Private Education Association, the Chairman of Tsinghua International School Daoxiang Lake (THISDL). He received a bachelor of science degree from the Mathematics Department of Shanxi Normal University in January,1982. Then he got a doctor from the Mathematics Department of Peking University. From August 1997 to July 1999, he was a postdoctoral student in the Department of Mathematics of Tsinghua University. From August 1999 to December 2006, he served as an associate professor and professor of Mathematics Department of Tsinghua University, and served as the head of the postgraduate working group, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and secretary of the Party Committee of the Mathematics Department. From January 2007 to July 2022, he became the Principal of Tsinghua University High School (THUHS).
Ms. Cynthia Xin, the Head of School and Party Secretary, graduated from the Department of Mathematics at East China Normal University, the Department of Mathematics at Peking University, and the Faculty of Education at Tokyo Gakugei University in Japan. She is a High School Senior Teacher with nearly 30 years of teaching experience at Tsinghua University High School (THUHS). In 2017, she was commissioned by THUHS to establish Tsinglan School in Guangdong. In 2021, she returned to Beijing to serve as the Principal of Tsinghua International School Daoxiang Lake (THISDL) until now. In 2018, she participated in the project "Practice and Innovation of Generative Evaluation of Students' Comprehensive Quality Based on Big Data" and won the special prize for basic education in Beijing and the second prize for teaching achievement in China.
Mr. Donald Jonathan Holder, foreign head of School, is from the United States and was educated at Oberlin College and Georgetown University. He holds the Hong Kong General Teaching Certificate. With nearly 30 years of experience in the educational field in China, he has made significant contributions to the country's educational reforms. Recognized as an innovative educator, Mr. Holder was the first foreigner to hold a senior administrative position in a Chinese public school. Mr. Holder has worked as principal or vice principal at schools such as Shenzhen Middle School, the Affiliated High School of Peking University and The ISF Academy (Hong Kong); he is a founding administrator of Nanshan Branch of the Affiliated High School Peking University and Yadi School of Shenzhen Middle School. He has been a guest lecturer at the Central Conservatory of Music and Beijing Institute of Education. He has also been appointed a Distinguished Professor of Peking University’s International School Operation and Management Program and an Academic Expert for the Guangdong Society of Education’s Association for the Internationalization of Education. He has trained over a thousand teachers and school leaders.
Ms. Ellen Yi, Deputy Head of School, has been dedicated to basic education for more than three decades. Possessing a master's degree and the Senior Professional Title of Secondary School Education, she has served in Tsinghua University High School (THUHS), THUHS Chaoyang and Tsinghua International School (THIS). Since 2020, she has been involved in the establishment of Tsinghua International School Daoxiang Lake (THISDL) and continues to hold this role to date. She also acts as the leader of the 14th Five-Year Plan Education Research Project of Beijing Education Society and the guiding teacher for the collaborative innovation project of School Leadership Promotes the Improvement of Teachers' Curriculum Competence. She has been honored with numerous awards such as Outstanding Female Achiever, Advanced Worker in Innovative Education, and Excellent Educator.
Ms. Catherine Xie, Vice Party Secretary, graduated from Harbin Normal University and Tsinghua University. She has been working at Tsinghua University High School (THUHS) and its affiliated schools since 2010. During this time, Ms. Xie has held various leadership roles, including Head of the Primary Division of the THUHS Innovation Education Programme, Vice Director of the THUHS Training Department, and Deputy Head of THUHS Tanzhesi School. She is recognized as a core teacher in Haidian District and has earned numerous accolades, including the first prize in the Beijing Research Cup for Educational and Teaching Research Achievements, organized by the Beijing Education Society, as well as the first prize for "Teachers' Basic Skills and Wisdom" Educational and Teaching Achievements in Beijing, etc.
Mr. Ray Zhang, Deputy Head of School, is an alumni of Tsinghua University High School (THUHS). He graduated from Beijing Union University. He is the HVAC energy industry expert, and has rich life cycle management experience in Electromechanical industry. He has more than 15 years of enterprise management experience, and has been employed as an entrepreneurship tutor for college students for many years.
Ms.Tina Li, Deputy Head of School, is an Australian mother of three with a BA in Finance. A curiosity and passion for children's education drove her to the education sector. She has spent the last 20 years leading teams across many of the top international schools in Beijing, most recently serving as the Head of Admissions at the Montessori International School of Beijing. She facilitates government relations and marketing the school towards international families. She is passionate about fostering a positive and engaging environment that enables young students and their families to thrive. She enjoys developing strong relationships with families and team-building.
Mr. Joe Qiao, HR Director, currently a Ph.D. candidate, completed both his undergraduate and master’s degrees at Northeast Normal University. He later obtained a Master’s in Financial Management from the United States and a postgraduate degree in Organizational and Human Resources Management from the University of Hong Kong. He also completed programs in International School Operations Management at Peking University and International Education Leadership at Tsinghua University.
In 2013, he was hired by Tsinghua University High School (THUHS) and in 2015, he was assigned to Beijing Kaiwen School, which was founded by THUHS, to oversee its establishment and management. In 2017, he was sent to Qinglan Mountain School, also founded by THUHS, to take charge of its establishment and management.
Joe is a Senior Career Planner and Senior Family Education Advisor with the International Association of Career Advisors (IACA), a registered education consultant in Singapore, a certified Cognia practitioner, and an outstanding teacher at THUHS. He has won several awards, including the First Prize in Basic Education Curriculum Construction in Haidian District, Beijing, the “Most Popular Teacher” title, First Place in the THUHS Young Teacher Basic Skills Competition, and the Special Micro-Video Award in the same competition.
Ms. Yangqiu Liu, Executive Head of Kindergarten, received her master’s and doctoral degrees in biochemistry from Tsinghua University. She is a parent trainer certified by American Positive Discipline Association and has a Montessori AMS Administrator certificate. She is the founding principal of Tsinglan Kindergarten, building TsinglanKindergarten into one of the best kindergartens in the Pearl River Delta. She engaged in scientific research and technology transformation for nearly 20 years, and deeply understands the difference between international education and domestic education.
Ms. Yuzhen Du, Party Secretary of THISDL Future City Campus, is a distinguished professor of Tsinghua University, a Beijing Special-Grade Teacher, a National Outstanding Research Principal, and an Outstanding Contributor of Tsinghua University. She ever worked as Vice Principal of Tsinghua University High School (THUHS), executive Principal & Party Secretary of THUHS Guanghua Campus, Legal Representative Principal of THUHS Guanzhuang Campus, Chairman of THUHS Education Foundation.
She obtained 1st Prize and 2nd Prize of National Education Achievement Awards respectivly, won Grand Prize and 1st Prize of Beijing Municipal Education Achievement Awards respectively. She was one of the first experts appointed to the National Teacher Training Program (国培计划) by Ministry of Education, a Beijing expert for new textbook training programs, and lead Mentor and Group Director of the Master Teacher Workshop.
