The PEPπ Program is designed to support the athletic strengths and interests of students with a passion and talent for sports. It explores and implements integrated approaches to physical and academic education within an international education context, aiming to cultivate a new generation of students with global awareness and competence.
The program’s English name, PEP, stands for Possible Education Program, reflecting THISDL’s educational philosophy of providing limitless possibilities for student-athletes. In English, “pep” also conveys meanings such as energy, vitality, and enthusiasm, as well as the action to energize or motivate—perfectly capturing the spirit of student-athletes on the field. Thus, PEP became the ideal name for this initiative.
The Chinese name “π班” (Pi Class) symbolizes the program’s goal of nurturing well-rounded “π-type” talents—students who possess comprehensive abilities, exceptional athletic performance, multiple professional skills, and global competence.
